Hunt Hills Trail
HUNT HILLS TRAIL - Sarona, WI Hunt Hill Audubon Sanctuary is a 500 acre environmental education center featuring a wonderful mix of meadows, bogs, forests and pristine lakes. The varied landscape and the pristine nature of the surrounding area make Hunt Hill an incredible place for snowshoeing. Nature abounds in this protected piece of the beautiful Northwoods, so keep your eyes peeled for the sanctuary’s winter inhabitants. Cross-country skiing is also allowed, although there are no groomed trails. Hunt Hill’s trails are open during daylight hours. To get to Hunt Hill from Rice Lake, drive north on Highway 53 about 15 miles to Highway D. Take Highway D east to Highway P. Go north on Highway P to Audubon Road. Continue 3.4 miles to Hunt Hill Road. Please note - maps are not to scale |
